The Business Support Assistant is responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative and secretarial support service to the Executive Managers – Schools, and Quality Improvement.  The post holder will be required to liaise with a wide range of senior managers and Elected Members, as well as senior officers from agencies out with the Local Authority, and members of the general public.  The post holder will be required to have a sound working knowledge of the organisation and the political environment it operates within.

Additional Information

  • The grade of this post is H
  • Rate of pay shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.4202 per hour
  • Permanent Part Time post for 20.0 Hours per Week , 52.18 weeks per year
  • Expected working pattern to be over three full working days Wednesday - Friday.
  • A relocation package does not apply to this post
  • We will pay interview expenses from within Shetland
  • We are happy to talk flexible working
