Health Improvement Practitioners provide essential skills and experience for delivering patient focused health improvement services in all localities across Shetland and delivering project based activities which seeks to improve population health and tackle health inequalities.
In this role you will assist in planning, implementing and evaluating health improvement activities and community based approaches. You will be involved in a range of interesting topics such as mental health, alcohol awareness, poverty as well as lifestyle change programmes such as quit your way.
You will ideally have experience of working within health improvement, or a related field, or applying the principles of health improvement in another area, and be educated to degree level or equivalent. Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to manage a busy agenda and work to deadlines, prioritising own workload as required.
