An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the endoscopy team within NHS Tayside. The ward assistant role is pivotal in ward organisation & administrative duties. You will be expected to support the team by carrying out general clinical, administrative and housekeeping duties within a constantly changing environment.
We are looking for someone who is organised with excellent communication skills and good IT skills. Within this role there is data collection & close working with the procurement department. Familiarity with NHS systems such as Trakcare, PECOS and SSTS would be beneficial. Good time management & excellent telephone manner.
The post holder will be based in the Endoscopy Unit, Ninewells Hospital.
Hours of work are currently Monday to Friday but this can be subject to review and the ability to be flexible is essential.

Hours of work are: 15.8 hours per week

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
