Western Isles Hospital
Laundry Assistant
Band 2 - £23,362 to £25,368 per annum
Plus £1,279 Distant Island Allowance per annum
37 Hours per week, Monday to Friday
Permanent Post
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, friendly and motivated individual who is able to work well in a busy environment within the Laundry Department, at the Western Isles Hospital, Macaulay Road, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, HS1 2AF.
The shift pattern for this position varies from 7am/8am to 4pm/5pm from Monday to Thursday, and alternate Fridays 12 noon to 9pm.
The successful candidate will be required to work in any area of the Laundry on a rotational basis.
The successful candidate will need to achieve the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers and comply with the Code of Conduct within three months of full time employment or up to six months for part time workers. For further information see www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk
The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme. This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
