Join our dynamic team at Migdale Transport Ltd, where we specialise in the transportation of live fish from farm to far and to wellboats across the UK and Europe.
As a driver with us, you'll be an integral part of ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of live fish for all our customers, while also contributing to truck yard and vehicle maintenance during the quieter season.
Responsibilities:
- Drive company HGV’s and specialised trailers, transporting live fish between fish farms and to wellboats.
- Perform truck yard maintenance and vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with logistics team, fellow drivers, and customers.
- Report any faults or health and safety concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
- Occasionally drive abroad to facilitate the movement of live fish.
- Monitor live fish during transfer and report any concerns.
- Maintain a log of all necessary details for paperwork before, during and after transfers.
- Assist with truck cleaning if needed.
- Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to last-minute changes in work plans.
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Hold a current HGV Class 1 licence (CE).
- CPC holder and Digi card holder.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience with Class 1 driving.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong time management and punctuality.
- Clean driving record.
Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Experience with truck maintenance.

Working Hours/Schedule:
- Mixed schedule depending on assigned routes, mostly day shifts.
- Occasional late evening or overnight shifts.
- Regular weekend work, especially during busy seasons (Oct – Feb).
