Position Type: 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract with Renewal Opportunities
Starting Salary: £34,000 with a variable biannual bonus.
Additional Benefits: 3 Bedroom property available to successful applicant and immediate family to reside in for the better performance of the employee’s duties.
We are looking for a proactive leader who is eager to advance their career in fresh water aquaculture and join our Loch Damph, South team as undermanager of this new site. This emerging site seeks an innovative team member prepared to tackle challenges and foster a smooth collaboration within our small, committed team.

aquaculture company. Committing to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with weekend cover
every 3rd weekend, you will be a key part of our team in assisting in the optimal management of
salmon operations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Operations Oversight: Supervising day-to-day activities on the farm, ensuring smooth operations, and addressing any issues that arise.
- Site Excellence: Uphold the highest standards in fish husbandry, welfare, and site maintenance.
- Feed Control Management: Lead in feeding, control, and fish inspection activities.
- Environmental Stewardship: Conduct daily environmental checks.
- Boat Operations: Skilfully handle boats and barges around the farm.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Biosecurity Vigilance: Ensure stringent biosecurity levels are maintained.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, following protocols to minimise risks, and conducting regular safety inspections.
- Leadership: Leading and motivating farm technicians, delegating tasks when the site manager is not at work, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Communication and Collaboration: Liaising with other farm staff, management, suppliers, and
external stakeholders as needed to ensure effective communication and collaboration across
departments.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience: At least 3 years Aquaculture Farm Technician experience is essential. Experience in management roles are desirable.
- Adaptability: Flexible approach to meet the demands of the job.
- Enjoys working outdoors: Confident working in all weather conditions and on fresh water.
- Safety First: Respect for safe working practices.
- Drive for Improvement: Committed to continuous improvement and achieving high standards.
- Drivers Licence: Possession of a valid driver's license is essential
