Staff Nurse – Ward 3 (Ref: 185587)

Post 1: Part time 22.5 hours per week, Fixed term maternity cover until July 2024

Post 2: Part time 30 hours per week, Substantive

Band 5 - Salary Range £30,229 - £37,664 per annum (pro-rata)

Distant Island Allowance of £2,256 per annum (pro-rata)

Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available (pro-rata)


Our 21 bedded Medical Ward delivers generalist care to patients from babies to older people.  These patients may be suffering from a variety of acute conditions including asthma, myocardial infarction, diabetes and stroke. Whilst also delivering rehabilitation to patients with chronic respiratory conditions and coronary heart disease.  We also stabilise patients prior to transfer to specialist services, including psychiatry, on the UK mainland.  There may also be an on-call requirement with this role.


Post 1 is fixed-term contracts until July 2024. The reason for the fixed-term contract is to cover maternity leave.


You will be a qualified Registered Nurse preferably with post registration medical experience.  A commitment to delivering evidenced based care and patient safety is essential.  Surgical nursing experience, level 2 care delivery, mentorship skills and the ability to undertake extended roles are desirable.
