Job Title: Advice & Product Senior Manager

Salary: £71,825 - £84,500

Location: Edinburgh

Hours: Full-time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh office location.

About this opportunity:

Playing an integral part in the Protection team, you’ll direct a team to manage the conduct appetite across our Protection propositions. You’ll be ensuring we continue to deliver fair outcomes for customers, design the advice models into our protection journeys across the LBG bank brands, ensure we manage our products within internal and external guidelines and perform product reviews to drive recommendations for action. You’ll also be a proposition expert to contribute to the take to market strategy across our Protection business. A phenomenal opportunity to be at the forefront of new ways of working as well as playing a key part in achieving our stated ambition of becoming a top 3 protection provider.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, mobilise and deliver advice and sales process journeys for our Bank brands, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met

  • Ensure all existing protection propositions fully adopt, embed and evidence alignment with the LBG conduct risk strategy, product governance and desired customer experience

  • Work across the business to anticipate and respond to emerging and known regulatory and reputational matters and prepare the Protection business to respond appropriately

  • Actively lead and work collaboratively with key team members across the Group, taking accountability for maximising the opportunity for Protection

  • Build and maintain a successful business area, appointing and developing a team which provides an efficient mix of technical and leadership capabilities and behaviours to deliver business goals

  • Management of third party relationships in keeping with team role in line.

  • Work with the Consumer Relationships business unit to formulate Direct human channel strategies,

  • Represent Protection at Consumer Relationships forums to enable the safe delivery of the protection journeys

  • Own and maintain the repository of collateral required by Mortgage And Protection Advisors and Managers to explore and meet the needs of our customers

What you'll need:

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry ideally in particular the protection market

  • Experience and track record in delivering business results in a regulated market

  • Strong business insight and commercial focus with an understanding of trends in the market

  • Knowledge of customer motivators and drivers to develop a strategy and business which will achieve targets and add overall value to our business

  • Excellent communication, influencing and partner management skills internally and externally

  • Understands and demonstrates Leadership skills to build the right environment for our colleagues to achieve their best
