We currently have an exciting opportunity for an HR Regulation Manager to join the department.

This role ensures that Certification and MRT identification regulations, and Knowledge and Competence regulations are understood and complied with across the business. It monitors regulatory change and, through a project management focus, develop systems and processes to meet regulatory requirements and changes.  

You will manage Certification and MRT identification and population maintenance, and maintain the framework of policy and governance for Certification and MRT identification activities and Knowledge & Competence requirements.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Managing regulatory and business requirements including oversight of, and reporting on, population identification and maintenance, initial and ongoing Certification/Fitness & Propriety reviews, regulated references and FCA Register

  • Overseeing governance for MRT approval including CompCo and RemCo papers – working with the Executive Remuneration and Governance team

  • Ensuring Knowledge and Competence (K&C) and Continuous Professional Development requirements for all Certified colleagues and MiFID Information Givers

  • Developing and maintaining Certification, MRT and K&C governance/policy framework and continuous improvement activities

  • Managing engagement with business contacts on population maintenance, including regular training/awareness

  • Monitoring regulatory developments, liaising with Risk staff and external advisors

  • Co-ordinating Fitness & Propriety (F&P) Panel agenda, meeting inputs and actions/minutes

  • Providing input to the Conduct Advisory Group, leading on F&P recommendations, and inputs to the F&P Panel/Chief People Officer as required

Minimum candidate requirements (skills and experience):

  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance requirements, particularly Certification and/or Material Risk Taker identification

  • Awareness of what, and how, the wider business strategy can be supported through effective regulatory compliance

  • Experience in managing risks, issues and controls

  • Excellent stakeholder management, comfortable with senior stakeholders

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including the ability to analyse and manipulate data

  • Project management experience

  • Results orientated with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to challenge and influence thinking
