We currently have an exciting opportunity for an HR Regulation Consultant to join the department.

This role will monitor Senior Manager & Certified Regime (SMCR) and Material Risk Taker (MRT) identification activities, and Knowledge & Competence activities to ensure that systems and processes are developed, maintained and executed to maintain compliance with regulations.

You will also work within the HR Regulation team to lead the maintenance of  HR Regulation systems (including Workday Xtnd) and processes. The role will act as a first point of contact for the HR Regulation team, managing incoming queries and escalating as required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead SMCR & MRT Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML) activities for nominated business/ functional areas, including background vetting (where required), Senior Manager applications and Fitness & Propriety (F&P)/ Certification for nominated business / functional areas

  • Lead and/or input to HR Regulation continuous improvement and embedding activities as required including policy and collateral reviews (including HR Regulation SharePoint/Workday information)

  • Team planning activities, including project management of relevant regulatory changes as required

  • Senior Manager Regime (SMR) system administration – including Statements of Responsibilities and Management Responsibilities Maps for nominated business / functional areas

  • Development of HR Regulation MI and reporting activity

  • Support bi-annual CompCo/ RemCo MRT approval process and data analysis for required reports

  • Coordination of quarterly review meetings with business SMCR and MRT leads

  • Support Knowledge & Competence activities

What we're looking for (minimum requirements):

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

  • Numerical and data analytics experience

  • Experience of working with Workday and HR processes

  • An awareness of what, and how, the wider business strategy can be supported through an effective regulatory agenda which is executed successfully

  • Results orientated with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Awareness of risk management

  • Stakeholder management/ engagement

  • Project management experience is desirable
