An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Community Mental Health Nurse to work within the Wester Ross area of the Skye Lochalsh & Wester Ross Community Mental Health team.
We are recruiting a CPN who will have responsibility for the management of a defined caseload of patients experiencing acute and enduring mental health problems and for promoting and developing the role of the CPN in all aspects of mental health care. You will be responsible for managing own primary care based caseload and ensuring quality standards are met through the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients. Working with other professionals within the Integrated team, Primary Care and Secondary care.
You will need to demonstrate a broad range of clinical therapeutic work as well as being able to work both independently and within the multi-disciplinary team setting
A full current, driving licence is essential and have access to own car for business purposes.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
