Job Description
As a team member of the Economic Growth & Regeneration section, maximise funding opportunities and provide business / project support both within Council services, and in partnership with external agencies.
Requirements
To maximise funding opportunities for projects and services in Moray.
To advise and provide information on partnership development projects
To advise and provide information on funding and business development
Liaise with other relevant departments and organisations.
The Individual
Knowledge and experience of operating in economic development
Experience of working with public, community and businesses
Project development skills
Knowledge and experience of procurement
Knowledge and understanding of project management including match-funding requirements
Competent knowledge of Microsoft packages Word and Excel
Educated to Degree level or have exceptional work experience
Good communication skills both written and oral
Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
Confidence and ability to work with a minimum of supervision
Effective time management skills
Team worker
Knowledge and / or understanding of the business and community sectors.
Project development and management skills including finance.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray and on occasion throughout Scotland to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car/van
Be able to communicate with people from all walks of life
Where appropriate be able to respect confidentiality of information entrusted
Open plan office / mobile working including occasional evening / weekend work
Closing Date: 31 May 2024
Starting Salary: £41,696.20
£22.12 per hour
36.25 hours per week
