ADHD Team, Adult Mental Health, Block A, Royal Cornhill Hospital


Band 4 (12 months Fixed Term or Secondment)

Part Time (18.75 hours)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our new ADHD Team within Adult Mental Health to provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the Consultant Psychiatrist and medical staff covering Aberdeen City.  This post is based at Royal Cornhill Hospital. 

The successful candidate will have previous medical secretarial and administration experience. Candidates should be qualified to HNC level or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 Standard Grades or equivalent including English.

Audio typing, touch typing, minute taking, a good typing speed, excellent communications skills, confidentiality and a sensitive approach to dealing with clients are also essential for this post. Knowledge of mental health services and medical terminology is desirable.  The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to coordinate workloads within teams.
