JOB TITLE: Head of Proposition (Investments)
LOCATION: Edinburgh
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time in the office.

About this opportunity

We're currently have a great opportunity for a Head of Proposition (Investments) to join our Edinburgh based team.

You'll be the “voice of Scottish Widows” in respect of the customer fund range and provide a focal point for interactions between the investments team and all relevant distribution channels. You'll propose and agree the competitor set across all investment solutions, producing, and maintaining customer, intermediary and market research as required.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Production of all pre, at and post-sale content and literature in order to deliver good customer outcomes and maximise commercial interest in investment solutions.
  • Leveraging data sets across the world, including propriety LBG data, to enhance existing solutions and develop new commercially successful investment solutions.
  • Making recommendations on pricing of existing and new investment solutions, optimising customer outcomes and commercial success
  • Working with Head of Investments to bring new propositions to market.
  • Work with distribution channels to deliver agreed business plan objectives.
  • Build & maintain a strategic plan for the Investment Proposition and pipeline of developments towards that plan.
  • Specify & maintain requirements / constraints for fund solutions that meet market / customer need.
  • Manage complex relationships with internal partners to ensure proposition to market and internal processes / governance are aligned.

What we need from you?

  • Knowledge of the investment market.
  • Experience and deep understanding of Pensions / Workplace Savings market.
  • Technical investment knowledge – and ability to explain in a clear concise way.
  • Strong commercial awareness, ideally with a background in the investment advisory business.
  • SME in pensions regulations and market; ideally experience in Master Trust.
