Working primarily at our site in Fort William, Highland, the successful applicants will assist with the general operation, maintenance and repair of company premises.

Welding  experience is required for one of the roles to assist the Welding/Fabrication team.

Operating forklift and other plant/machinery, as well as using a range of tools and machines, you will be required to perform general housekeeping duties as well as cleaning and preparing job sites, loading and unloading materials and stock, setting up and taking down temporary structures.

Work must be carried out in a safe and controlled manner and with a professional attitude, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed and company policies related to safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ), as well as other relevant policies and procedures, are complied with.

These are full time, permanent roles with working hours of 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Predominantly based in Corpach, Fort William – however some travel and overnight stays in Kishorn may be required as part of this role.  Cost of travel and accommodation for work purposes is covered by the Company.

Key Responsibilties (Both roles):

  • Operate forklifts and any plant/machinery
  • Use a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment (training provided and some general handyperson experience would be an advantage - workbased or DIY)
  • General housekeeping duties in various sites – including but not limited to tidying, sweeping, salting walkways/paths, emptying bins etc.
  • Cleaning and preparing job sites
  • Assist in loading, unloading and delivering of materials and stock as required
  • Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures
  • Ensure daily checks are carried out on all plant and machinery prior to use, following the defect reporting procedure at all times
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and controlled manner

Additional Responsibilities (Welding role):

  • Assisting the Welding/Fabrication team and carrying out welding/fabrication work when required – including steel, aluminum and TIG welding
  • Assisting with and welding project work (including design and measurement)
Requirements

About you:

  • Car drivers licence is essential
  • Previous forklift experience, certification is an advantage however training will be provided
  • Appropriate welding / fabrication certification * for one General Operative position only
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as on own initiative
  • Ability to adhere to H&S requirements at all times
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
