ROTATIONAL PHYSIOTHERAPIST

The exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join an extensive rotational scheme for physiotherapists throughout the NHS-Grampian area. The rotation provides opportunities to gain experience in a broad range of acute hospital, intermediate care, out-patients, community hospital, Paediatrics, Mental Health and domiciliary settings across the north-east of Scotland.  The successful post-holder will be required to rotate to a number of locations across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire (for which some travel allowance may be payable) in rotations of 4 months duration.

These posts will hold an out of hours and weekend commitment.

Applicants will be expected to complete the flying start programme as part of their CPD activity in their first year - post graduation.

NHS Grampian has close links with its local HEI, RGU, and there are often opportunities for staff to be involved within the field of research alongside their clinical role.

Applicants must have current HCPC registration, or be a student in the process of obtaining.

Car availability for work purposes and a valid UK driving licence are required for this post. (Or be in the process of obtaining.)

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.

For further information please contact Sarah Hughson sarah.hughson@nhs.scot or Alexandra Mackenzie alexandra.mackenzie3@nhs.scot or telephone 01224 554678.

The closing date is Friday 17th May with interviews planned for week commencing 3rd June 2024.

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
