OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
This post provides an exciting opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic therapist to join the Band 6 rotation between the Acute and Rehabilitation services within Aberdeen City. The current vacancy is in Frailty: Emergency Department and Acute Medicine.
If you are an experienced Band 5 with varied clinical experience there may be the opportunity for this post to be a developmental run through post.
This post will involve working closely with Occupational Therapists and the multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams to assess and treat patients in the acute and rehabilitation settings. There is also the opportunity for community rotations. Rotations include:
- Stroke (both acute and rehabilitation) - Surgical
-Acute neurosciences -Neuro-rehabilitation
-Trauma orthopaedics - Vascular and Amputee Rehabilitation
-Community Rehabilitation
-Frailty – ward and Emergency Department and Acute Medicine
The post holder will be expected to work hours, when required, over an extended working day and this will include weekend and public holiday working as part of a rota to meet the requirements of the service.
Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision and appraisal and in-service training as well as access to relevant external training.
