KITCHEN ASSISTANT

An energetic self-starter to be part of our small, friendly Kitchen and Cafe team

  • Under the guidance of the head chef, basic food preparation and production for lunchtime service for wholesome cafe menu.
  • Additional assistance on other catering services as required.
  • Washing up, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas.
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage and work areas.


BARISTA

An energetic, friendly, customer-service aware, self-starter to be part of our small, friendly Kitchen and Cafe team

  • Enjoy being part of a small team of employees and volunteers who are helping to run this community-led cafe.
  • Crafting great coffee from Argyll Coffee Roasters - the best in town, if we say so ourselves :).
  • Serving customers with a smile and finding out what they like and want more of.
  • Opening up and closing down on your own.
  • Helping with serving, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas.
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly.
 
 
Requirements

Both positions require a responsible, self-starter who is comfortable taking the initiative to operate by themselves but also happy to work alongside a variety of temporary shift-workers and our wonderful volunteers.
