Job Description
Post Title: Secondary Teacher - Supply
Salary: £31,584 - £47,565 pro rata
Teachers who register for supply teaching can be asked to undertake supply teaching at both short and advance notice in their local areas, and periods of supply can vary from one day to several weeks or months depending on the kind of absence to be covered. Even if teachers can only make themselves available for one day a week, or at certain times of the year, the Highland Council would like to hear from them.
This may be of particular interest to teachers who are currently not working, and who have perhaps not worked for some years. If necessary, training will be provided locally for any teachers who feel that they would benefit from this. Applications are welcome from all teachers, including any teachers currently living outside Highland but who may be available to work in Highland schools.
To find out more contact the Care & Learning, Workforce Planning Team on 01463 702732, 01463 702687, 01463 702730 or by email CLStaffing.Teaching@highland.gov.uk.
Please APPLY ONLINE.
Applications from Gaelic speakers are encouraged.
Prior to confirming appointment, we will require successful candidates to become members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
The Highland Council supports positive action and encourages applications from under-represented groups to improve workforce diversity. We are committed to equality and opportunity and to being fair and inclusive.
