MACEL
Mid Argyll Community Enterprises Ltd (MACEL) is a social enterprise which was set up in 1992 with the purpose of creating a community swimming pool for the population of Mid Argyll.

MACEL owns and manages ‘MACPool’ on behalf of the Mid Argyll community. Built in 1996, through considerable community effort, the pool provides the only public swimming opportunity for a 40-mile radius from Lochgilphead. The main populations accessing MACPool fall within the Mid Argyll catchment area, which has a population of approximately 9,400.
MACPool Activity Hub is a 20 x 8.5 metre x 4 lane pool with showering and changing facilities, a changing place, reception, viewing area, soft play, cafe, meeting space.
